At Skylands Pediatrics, we specialize in medical care for kids, and we would love to get to know you and your family better.   • We have staff that speaks several foreign languages: English, Hindi, Russian and Spanish
  • We are the School Physicians for several school districts in NJ
  • We participate in the NJ Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), providing vaccines to non-insured and under-insured children
  • We are open 7 days a week, we have an Ill Child Waiting Room and a separate Well Child Waiting Room
  • We care for children from Birth to 21 years

Meet the Providers

  • Dr. Carol Calabrese

    Dr. Carol Calabrese has been in practice in Sussex County since 1988. Her undergraduate degree was awarded by Georgetown University College of Arts and Science. 

  • Dr. Inna Meskin

    Dr. Inna Meskin joined Skylands Pediatrics in January 1998. She is a graduate of the Moscow Medical School, Russia.

  • Dr. Alexis Capozzoli

    Dr. Capozzoli holds a certification in Global Heath and had traveled to Haiti in 2013 as part of a medical mission, providing care for adults and children.

  • Dr. Denise Novaes

    Dr. Denise Novaes is originally from Brazil, she studied medicine at the Universidad Federal Fluminense located in Rio de Janerio. Dr. Novaes completed residency programs in both pulmonary and pediatric medicine. Dr. Novaes has worked in both hospital and private practice settings in New Jersey. Her areas of interest include children with ADHD. Dr. Novaes has written two children's books, enjoys spending time outdoors (fishing and kayaking), and spending time with her family and two grown children. Dr.  Novaes speaks, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and will be working primarily in our Sparta location.  Dr. Novaes is accepting new patients and we are glad she is joining our team. 

  • Renee Thomas, APN

    Renee Thomas, Advanced Practice Nurse, is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her bachelor’s Degree as well as her master’s Degree in Nursing from Seton Hall University.
